Festive Frights

Well, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Almost nine months, in fact. I could have had a baby (worry not, I have not had a baby).

If you’re looking for more regular, monthly updates, you can subscribe to my newsletter for free here (and you even get a free eBook).

But today, I’m writing a new website update because a new anthology has landed, with one of my stories in it.

eBook cover

Yep, Violent Advents, edited by the talented dark fiction author L. Stephenson, and featuring stories by such brilliant authors as Ross Jeffery, Brian Bowyer, Rebecca Rowland, Y. M. Miller, and others, is a Christmas charity anthology, in which authors were given a specific story prompt to work from:

Your main character notices that a friend / family member is afraid of the Christmas tree in the corner. Your story will show us why they are so afraid.

As you can imagine, the authors in this book went wild with that prompt, and there are killer trees, monsters of various guises and, in the case of my story, ghosts.

I was honoured to be asked to contribute and am really happy with my story, ‘What You Had.’

The anthology’s royalties all go to two different heart charities, one in the UK and one in the US, so if you are looking to pick up a new anthology of short horrors and also to do some good in the world, now is your chance.

And also, if you only want to read my story, you can grab ‘What You Had’ as a standalone Kindle single, below.

Click on any of the images to go straight to the amazon store in your area and grab your copy.

Huge thanks to everyone who helps us support this excellent cause, and I hope you all have a great winter break, if you get one, regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas, etc.
